The Kenjin Trek is a great option for a relatively short trek that offers beautiful mountain views and is easily reached from Kathmandu. Leaving Kathmandu you will make the 6 hour journey by jeep to the small settlement of Syabrubesi from where you will start your trek up the canyon of the Langtang Khola and into the heart of the Langtang Himal. Langtang Lirung (7227m), the worlds 99th tallest peak, dominates the skyline and a climb to Kyanjin Ri (4773m / 15655 ft) the highest point on the trek brings you to a beautiful panorama of mountains and glaciers.Spend a day hiking into the remote reaches of the upper Langtang Valley or exploring the historic Buddhist monasteries of Kyanjin.

Day 01. Kathmandu to Syabrubesi:
After breakfast an early morning breakfast, a scenic drive (6 to 7 hours) to Syabrubesi Bazar (1462m), a tiny mountain Bazar on the route to Nepal-Tibet border surrounded by Langtang and Chilime Rivers.
Day 02. Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2581m):
The very first leg of the trekking trip, gradual uphill trek through a beautiful jungle keeping Langtang River left hand side. After lunch, cross Langtang river and about 1 hour steep uphill trek to today’s the destination in starting point of main Langtang valley.
Day 03. Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3307m):
Today, we trek through rhododendron forests (blooming flowers can be admired during March-April, mainly in three colors white, red and light purple). Having lunch at Godatable check-point, there is a steep uphill trek about half an hour and then an easy uphill trek to Langtang Village. As we are exceeding 3000m, it is suggestible to spend a night at Langtang instead of proceeding to Kenjin Gompa.
Day 04. Langtang Village to Kenjin Gompa (3914m):
About 3 to 4 hours’ easy trek to Kenjin Gompa, a cheese factory is situated nearby. Enjoy the panoramic view of Mt. Langtang and surrounding other snow-capped mountains.
Day 05: Hike to Kenjin Ri (4779m ):
Today is rest day at Kyanjing Gompa for acclimatization. And we will ascend to Tserko Ri and enjoy the scenic beauty from the top of the hill then descend to Kyanjing for overnight stay.
Day 006. Kenjin Gompa to Lama Hotel:
After breakfast, trek about 6 to 7hours to return to Lama Hotel.
Day 07. Lama Hotel to Syabru Village (Thulo Syabru):
Gradual downhill trek crossing Langtang River. After lunch, about 2 to 3 hours uphill trek to Syabru Village and rest, Enjoying the breathtaking view of Mt. Ganesh Himal range.
Day 08. Syabru Village Besi to Dhunche Bazar:
An easy trek (5 to 6 hours) to Dhunche Bazar completing the trekking portion.
Day 09. Dhunche Bazar to Kathmandu:
Drive (5 to 6 hours). Check in hotel in Kathmandu and rest.
